  4. -Have  you  seen  the  latest game from
  5. "Bjarnes game bix"????

  7. -WHAT, are you a gamefreak...HEY dudes,
  8. this  guy  is  a gamefreak..HAHAHA -You
  9. fucking lamer !!...Piss off
  10.  
  11. Well,   this   could   be  one  of  the
  12. conversations  between  a gamefreak and
  13. guys  who  think they are cool (because
  14. they  watch  demoes).  But what's wrong
  15. with  being  a  gamefreak.  As a lot of
  16. people have said before, we all started
  17. playing  games  when  we  got our first
  18. computer.   Then  some  freaks  started
  19. coding,   and   some   found  out  that
  20. something   was   called   demoes,  and
  21. finally  some guys thought that playing
  22. games   was  fun,  and  therefore  they
  23. continued  doing  that.   Now  the  two
  24. first  mentioned  types  find  out that
  25. something  is  called  THE SCENE.  They
  26. start  swapping,  and they get a lot of
  27. demoes/introes/musicdisks, you name it,
  28. they  think  it's  fun  to watch demoes
  29. etc.   The  guy  who was a gamefreak is
  30. still  playing  his games, but he finds
  31. out  about  THE  SCENE too, but he is a
  32. bit  low  on  contacts, because he only
  33. wants  games.   He  starts  to  buy his
  34. stuff,  but  that  just  makes  it even
  35. worse,  because  everybody says that he
  36. has  just  made the ultimate-lame-move.
  37. If  he  has  willpower and the guts, he
  38. gives  a  shit  about all the comments,
  39. and  continues  buying  his  stuff, and
  40. continues playing the games.
  41.  
  42. I  hope  you  can  reconize  the little
  43. story above from your own life.  And as
  44. I  have  said before, what's wrong with
  45. playing  games.  You can't force anyone
  46. to  see  demoes if they think that it's
  47. the  most  boring  shit  they have ever
  48. seen.   And  you can't force people who
  49. watch  demoes,  to  start playing games
  50. (again).  How come it's so important to
  51. look  at  these  demoes.  Well, I enjoy
  52. both things.  I simply love to sit down
  53. and  watch a demo to the end, admireing
  54. all   the   details  in  it,  read  the
  55. scrolls,  listen  to the music, and bla
  56. bla  you  know what I mean.  BUT I also
  57. enjoy  playing  a  good  and  well made
  58. game,  and  I  thought  that  was okay,
  59. until  I visited a copy-party.  We were
  60. two  guys  from M12 there (our mainjobs
  61. are  swapping).   When  we  had  walked
  62. around  a little, and talked the people
  63. we knew there (not many), we decided to
  64. sit  down  and play a few games of KICK
  65. OFF.   It  turned  up  to be a very bad
  66. idea,  because  when  people  found out
  67. that  we  actually  played  a  game, we
  68. suddenly  became  the  ultimate lamers,
  69. but  you  just can't sit down and start
  70. coding  if  you don't know a shit about
  71. what  you  are doing.  Well, I guess we
  72. finally   reached   the   end  of  this
  73. article,  but  before we end....a final
  74. word:   Just because other people don't
  75. like  the  things  you like, it doesn't
  76. mean  that  they are stupid or ugly, so
  77. let  the  people  decide  for  it  self
  78. (ohh,very poetic).
